Warner has announced a 2 June Blu-ray Disc release of NFL: Road to Super Bowl XLIII: Pittsburgh Steelers. This 4-Disc set will include four games: Week 15 vs. Baltimore, the San Diego and Baltimore playoff games and the Super Bowl vs. the Arizona Cardinals. The set will be presented with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, though audio specs and bonus features (if any) have yet to be confirmed. SRP is $59.96.

  
 
 
 
 

We have early word that HBO is preparing a 16 June Blu-ray Disc release of John Adams. This award-winning miniseries starring Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes, as well as two BD-enhanced bonus features. The Kevin Bacon drama Taking Chance is coming to DVD from Warner Bros. on 19 May. The film will arrive with a 1.33:1 transfer, and a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix. No word yet as to bonuses (if any). SRP is $19.97.
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Final specs have been announced for Lionsgate's 2 June Blu-ray Disc release of Weeds: Season Four. This latest release of the hit Mary Louise Parker series will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, PCM 7.1 sound mixes, BD-exclusive picture-in-picture commentaries with cast and crew members, featurettes, and a few trailers. We have received very early word that Lionsgate is prepping a 7 July Blu-ray Disc release of Mad Men: Season Two. This sophomore season of the hit AMC drama will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, but audio specs and the release' bonus slate remain undetermined. SRP is $49.99.
 
 
 

16 June will also bring the HBO Blu-ray Disc release of Generation Kill. This miniseries from The Wire writer David Simon will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes, all the bonuses included on the film's DVD release, as well as three new BD-exclusive goodies. SRP is $79.98.
