Final specs have been announced for Sony's 28 April Blu-ray Disc release of The Da Vinci Code. This franchise-starting actioner starring Tom Hanks will arrive with a 2.40:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, a select-scene commentary with director Ron Howard, a boat-load of featurettes, and an interactive picture-in-picture option. Sony has also announced a 28 April Blu-ray Disc release of What Doesn't Kill You. This drama starring Mark Ruffalo and Ethan Hawke will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, a commentary with director Brian Goodman and screenwriter Donnie Wahlberg, some deleted scenes and a featurette. Bruce Campbell fans rejoice! Universal will release Army of Darkness on Blu-ray Disc on 19 May. This Sam Raimi-directed action/fantasy masterpiece will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, both U-Control and BD-Live features, some deleted scenes, two featurettes, a commentary with Raimi, Campbell and co-screenwriter Ivan Raimi, and the film's trailer. The Chris Farley comedy Black Sheep is coming to Blu-ray Disc from Paramount on 12 May. This Farley/David Spade follow-up to the Putlitzer-Prize-winning Tommy Boy will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, and a slate of bonuses that have yet to be announced. In a unique announcement, Buena Vista has said they'll release Bedtime Stories as a Blu-ray Disc/DVD Combo Edition on 5 April. The film will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but audio specs and bonus features have yet to be determined. This three-disc set will include a Blu-ray Disc edition of the film, as well as a DVD edition and a Digital Copy disc. SRP is $39.99.
