The First Tragic BD Loss of The Clone Wars: 48 HOURS

We have early word of a 3 November LucasFilm/Warner Blu-ray Disc release of Star Wars: The Clone Wars: The Complete First Season. This collection of all 22 episodes from the show's inaugural season (seven of which come with 'director's cut' versions) will arrive with 1080p transfers, DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes, a huge set of featurettes and a BD-exclusive Jedi Temple Archives feature. Warner will release A Charlie Brown Christmas on Blu-ray Disc on 6 October. This family holiday classic will arrive with a 1080p transfer for sure, though audio specs and bonuses (if any) have yet to be formally announced. SRP is $29.99.
 
 
 
 
 
 
  
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
We have a number of postponed release titles to mention - Paramount's 15 September Blu-ray Disc releases of 48 Hours, Escape From L.A., K-19: The Widowmaker, The Firm and The Score have all been taken off release lists. New Line/Warner will release Ghosts of Girlfriends Past on Blu-ray Disc on 22 September. This Jennfer Garner/Matthew McConaughey romantic comedy will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a set of featurettes (audio specs are still TBD). SRP is also unannounced.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sony will release America on DVD on 1 September. This Rosie O'Donnell picture will arrive with a 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack and a featurette. SRP is $24.96.
