What a dangling carrot...In revealing a new 'Buy 5, Get 1 Free' Blu-ray Disc campaign, Warner has dropped subtle hints at upcoming titles, and the calbier of these titles are pretty solid: Watchmen, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Terminator: Salvation, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy are all on the list, which means that they'll hit shelves in the next twelve months. We have received confirmation that Fox will release Walking Tall on Blu-ray Disc on 2 June. This remake of the cult classic stars Dwayne Johnson ("The Rock") and will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix. Summit Entertainment will release Paul Simon and Friends on Blu-ray Disc on 2 June. This full-length concert featuring not only the acclaimed singer/songwriter, but Art Garfunkel, Stevie Wonder and Lyle Lovett will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but audio specs and bonuses (if any) have yet to be confirmed. We have more specs for Sony's 16 June Blu-ray Disc release of the comedy Ghostbusters. The film will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, a picture-in-picture Slimer Mode option, a new featurette, as well as the bonuses from the film's last DVD edition: A commentary with director Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis and Joe Medjuck, some featurettes and a set of deleted scenes. MGM will release Dark Blue on Blu-ray Disc on 2 June. This Kurt Russell cop thriller will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, as well as a DVD edition of the film. Further bonuses have yet to be announced. SRP is $24.99.
