1 December will bring the Universal DVD release of Saturday Night Live: The Complete Fifth Season. This latest full-season edition of the show will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo sound mixes. No bonuses will be included. SRP is $69.98.
Eminem: Live From New York City is headed to Blu-ray Disc from Eagle Rock on 20 October. This concert film will come with a 1080p trnasfer, but audio specs and bonus features (if any) have yet to be announced. SRP is $24.98.
Sony will release The Maiden Heist on DVD on 27 October. This Morgan Freeman/Christopher Walken drama will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix, a commentary with the film's director, writer and producer, a featurette, some deleted scenes (with commentary) and a blooper reel. SRP is $24.96.
Sony is prepping a box set DVD release of Ghostbusters 1 & 2 on 6 October. Featuring the original DVD releases of the two classic comedy/action films, this edition will house anamorphic widescreen transfers and Dolby Digital 5.1 mixes for each film, as well as all the commentaries, deleted scenes, featurettes, etc. that were included on the films' original DVD releases. SRP is $39.95.
10 November will bring the DVD release of Dawson's Creek: The Complete Series from Sony This collection of all 127 episodes of the series will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo sound mixes, as well as featurettes (both new to this collection and held over from earlier season-long editions), commentaries, deleted scenes, and a collectible CD with music from the series. SRP is $119.95.
