Final specs have been announced for Warner's 8 September Blu-ray Disc release of Friday. This Chris Tucker/Ice Cube comedy will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 sound mix, an Ice Cube introduction, two featurettes and two music videos. SRP is $28.99.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
More details have also been announced for Sony's 25 August Blu-ray Disc release of The Informers. This Billy Bob Thornton drama will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, a commentary with the film's director and a handful of cast members, and a featurette. Buena Vista has announced an 18 August DVD release of Pete's Dragon: High-Flying Edition. This new incarnation of the beloved family classic will arrive with a 1.66:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix, newly-discovered demo recordings of a few of the film's songs, stills galleries, featurettes, set-top games and some trailers. The French film Paris 36 will be released on DVD on 11 August from Sony. Starring Gerard Jugnot and Clovis Cornillac, the film will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix, a commentary with writer/director Christophe Barratier and actress Nora Arnezeder, two featurettes and some interviews.
