Genius Products and The Weinstein Company will release the Oscar-winning drama The Reader on Blu-ray Disc on 28 April. What's interesting, however, is that it looks as though the film will be released on standard DVD two weeks earlier. We have no specs for either title, though we know they will come with deleted scenes and five featurettes. SRP is TBD.

Fox is readying a 21 April Blu-ray Disc release of the Oscar-nominated drama The Wrestler. Featuring Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei, the gritty film will arrive with a 2.40:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, as well as a slate of bonuses that has yet to be confirmed. SRP is $39.99.
Get ready, Pixar fans - Buena Vista has officially announced a 19 May Blu-ray Disc release for both Monsters, Inc. and A Bug's Life. Each monstrously popular film will arrive with 1080p transfers and DTS-HD 5.1 sound mixes, as well as all the bonuses afforded each edition's DVD release and one new BD-exclusive goodie each. SRP is $40.99 for each title.
Miramax has announced final specs for their 7 April Blu-ray Disc release of Doubt. This Meryl Streep/Philip Seymour Hoffman drama will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a PCM 5.1 sound mix, as well as three featurettes. SRP is $34.99.
And if that's not enough, 12 May will also bring the Blu-ray Disc release of Star Trek: The Original Motion Picture Collection from Paramount. Featuring all six Kirk/Spock adventures, these will all arrive with 1080p transfers and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 sound mixes, as well as all the bonuses mentioned above and those Library Computer BD-exclusive options. SRP is $139.99.
