We have early word that Warner/New Line is readying a 22 December Blu-ray Disc release of The Final Destination. We know, we know - the film hasn't even been released in theatres yet - but when we hear news, we report news. Knowing Warner, we'll no doubt get a 1080p transfer and a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, but full specs and bonuses won't be released for a while. Stay tuned...
Fox has announced plans to release My Life in Ruins on Blu-ray Disc on 6 October. This Nia Vardalos romantic comedy will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix. Bonus features have yet to be formally announced. SRP is $39.99.
The art-house hitSin Nombre is headed to DVD from Universal on 1 September. Starring Paulian Gaitan, this drama will arrive with an anamoprhic widescreen trnasfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix, a commentary with director Cary Fukunaga and producer Amy Kaufman, as well as a set of deleted scenes. SRP is $29.98.
Universal has formally announced a 20 August DVD release of The Wolf Man. This Lon Cheney classic will arrive with a 1.33:1 transfer, a mono sound mix, a commentary with historian Tom Weaver, a set of featurettes, and a Universal horror film documentary. SRP is $14.98.
Sony will release Adoration on Blu-ray Disc on 13 Ocotber. This Scott Speedman film directed by Atom Egoyan will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, a set of deleted scenes, and a set of featurettes (one of which is BD-exclusive). SRP is $28.96.
