We have received early word of a 3 November DVD release of The Shield: The Complete Series from Fox. This Emmy-winning drama starring Michael Chiklis will arrive in this 28-DVD box set with original transfers and mixes, as well as a collectible book and two new featurettes. SRP is $159.99.

Full specs have been offered for Buena Vista's 17 November Blu-ray Disc release of Chasing Amy. This Kevin Smith drama/comedy starring Ben Affleck and Joey Lauren Adams will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, and a set of bonuses: We get a new commentary with Smith and producer Scott Mosier (note that the original commentary from the film's Criterion Collection DVD will not be included here), three new featurettes, and three other bonuses ported over from the CC DVD - some deleted scenes, a blooper reel and the film's trailer. SRP is $39.99.

Paramount will release It's a Wonderful Life on Blu-ray Disc on 3 November. This Jimmy Stewart Christmas classic will arrive with a 1.33:1 1080p transfer, as well as a featurette and the film's trailer (a full bonus list and audio specs are still pending). SRP is TBD. 

Full specs have been announced for Fox's 22 December Blu-ray Disc release of Family Guy: Something, Something Something, Darkside. This follow-up to the successful Blue Harvest will arrive with a 1.33:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix, a commentary track, a pop-up video track, a set of featurettes and some deletted scenes. SRP is $29.99.

10 November will bring the Buena Vista Blu-ray Disc release of Cars: The Ultimate Cars Giftset. This new repackaging of the beloved Pixar flick will arrive with all the bonuses afforded the film's original BD release, but with a new DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, as well as a DVD and Digital Copy of the film. SRP is $49.99.
