For those of you stoked for your favorite pizza-eating crime fighters' arrival on Blu-ray, you'll have to wait - for one week. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Collector's Edition will arrive on BD from Warner on 11 August (seven days later than originally announced). Specs are still unconfirmed, but we'll let you know as details roll in... SRP is $84.99.
Warner and National Geographic will release The National Geographic Ultimate High-Definition Collection on 29 September. This megaset featuring Atmospheres: Earth, Air and Water, Relentless Enemies, Kingdom of the Blue Whale, Rhino Rescue, Extreme and Journey to the End of the Universe will arrive with 1080p transfers and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mixes. No bonuses have yet been announced. SRP is TBD.
Criterion will release The Complete Monterey Pop Festival on Blu-ray Disc on 22 September. This 2-BD collection houses all the bonus material afforded the studio's 3-DVD edition, but will have spiffy new 1080p transfers and both Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes. SRP is $69.95.
22 September will allso bring the BD release of Pierrot le fou from Criterion. This beloved Jean-Luc Godard film will arrive on high-def with all the bonuses afforded its recent Criterion DVD edition, as well as a 1080p transfer and a PCM French mono sound mix. SRP is $39.95.
