Final specs have been released for MGM/Fox's Blu-ray Disc edition of Child's Play. This Chuky-heavy horror thriller will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, two commentaries (one with Alex Vincent, Catherine Hicks and Chucky designer Kevin Yaghel; another with producer David Kirschner and screenwriter Don Mancini, come select-scene Chucky commentaries, and a huge set of featurettes. Shout! Factory will release Audition on Blu-ray Disc on 2 October. This acclaimed Japanese creepy-thriller will arrive with a 1080p transfer, though bonuses and audio specs are still TBD. We'll let you know as more info comes in. SRP is $29.99.

20 October will bring the long-awaited Blu-ray Disc debut of Wings of Desire from Criterion. This classic Wim Wenders drama will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a commentary with Wenders and Peter Falk, a ton of featurettes and movie clips, trailers, deleted scenes, and a blooper reel. SRP is $39.95.

Criterion is also readying a 13 October Blu-ray Disc release of Monsoon Wedding. This critically-acclaimed Mira Nair film will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a Nair commentary, a ton of Nair short films and documentaries, some featurettes, and the film's trailer. SRP is $39.95.

Criterion has also announced the DVD release of Costa-Gavras' Z on 27 October. This political drama from the Oscar-nominated director of Missing will come with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, a stereo sound mix, a commentary with film historian Peter Cowie, a set of interviews, and the film's trailer.
