We have a couple updates for  you for two of the most highly-anticipated Blu-ray Disc releases of the year: Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz (both from Warner). Both will arrive with 1080p transfers and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mixes (as well as their original mono tracks... hopefully the original mono tracks will be presented losslessly too... are you listening Warner???), but that's still all we know. These are uber-frills-box-sets, hence the higher pricing (similar to Warner's BD release of Casa Blanca). Hopefully Warner will also provide some "regular" Blu-ray Disc versions with standard pricing as well. Release date is not yet confirmed but we believe it to be soon; we'll update when we know! Both carry an SRP of $84.99.

Fox/MGM is readying a 4 August Blu-ray Disc release of My Cousin Vinny. This Oscar-winning comedy starring Marisa Tomei and Joe Pesci will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, as well as a set of bonuses that have yet to be confirmed. SRP is $29.99.

Fox has also announced an 18 August Blu-ray Disc release of Sons of Anarchy: Season One. This acclaimed biker series starring Charlie Hunnam will see its debut season arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes, commentaries on selected episodes, some deleted scenes, a blooper reel, and five featurettes. SRP is $59.99.

We have early word of a 17 November Blu-ray Disc release of Scrubs: The Complete Eighth Season from Buena Vista. This newest TV-on-BD release of the hit Zach Braff series will arrive with a set of 1.78:1 1080p transfers, DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes, some deleted scenes, featurettes, a gag reel, and twelve webisodes (two of which are BD-exclusive). SRP is $54.99.

The Melissa George thriller The Betrayed is headed to DVD from MGM on 30 June. The movie will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, and a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix, but no bonus features will be included. SRP is $26.98.
