20 November will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of Near Dark from Lionsgate. This cult-beloved Kathryn Bigelow vampire flick will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix. At this point, it looks like no bonuses will be included. SRP is TBD.

Fox has announced plans to release Family Guy: Something Something Dark Side on Blu-ray Disc on 22 December. This sequel to the wildly successful Blue Harvest will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a pop-up trivia track, some deleted scenes and a few featurettes. SRP is $29.99.

Also coming to Blu-ray Disc from Lionsgate on 20 November is the Arnold Schwarzenegger actioner Red Heat. The film - co-starring James Belushi - will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, as well as three featurettes, a set of TV spots and the film's trailer. SRP is TBD.

20 October will bring the Sony Blu-ray Disc release of Leonard Cohen: Live From the Isle of Wight. This amazing early-70s performance from the iconic singer/songwriter will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, and a set of newly-taped interviews. SRP is TBD. 

More specs have been revealed for Universal's 27 October Blu-ray Disc release of Battlestar Galactica: The Plan. This follow-up film to the hit series will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a commentary with director Edward James Olmos, deleted scenes, some featurettes, and a BD-exclusive trivia track. SRP is $39.99.
