Lionsgate is readying a Blu-ray Disc release of Requiem For a Dream, slated to hit shelves on 8 September. This drugged-out Jennifer Connelly/Ellen Burstyn picture will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, two commentary tracks, a set of featurettes and a handful of deleted scenes. Sony will release The Informers on Blu-ray Disc on 25 August. This Bret Easton Ellis thriller starring Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, a commentary track and a making-of featurette. SRP is $34.95.
 
 
 
 
 
  
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 15 September will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of My Name is Earl: Season Four on Blu-ray Disc. This final season of the once-popular Jason Lee series will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfer, DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes, some deleted scenes, a blooper reel and a making-of featurette. Universal has announced an 18 August Blu-ray Disc release of The Last House on the Left. This remake of the hit slasher flick starring Monica Potter will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a set of deleted scenes and a featurette. 8 September will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of Crank: High Voltage from Lionsgate. This Jason Statham sequel will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a commentary track, a making-of featurette and a gag reel. SRP is TBD.
