HBO is readying a Winter 2009 release of Rome: The Complete Series on Blu-ray Disc. We know nothing save for the set will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, but we'll let you know as more info comes our way. SRP is $139.99.

Buena Vista has announced a 4 August Blu-ray Disc release of Escape to Witch Mountain. This Dwayne Johnson action remake will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a commentary (participants TBD), a BD-exclusive featurette, a gag reel and some deleted scenes. SRP is $44.99.

Fox will release Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li on 30 June. This new title in the hit action franchise will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a commentary with Patrick Aiello, Ashok Amritraj, Neal McDonough and Chris Klein, some deleted scenes, stills galleries, and a set of featurettes (one of which is BD-exclusive). SRP is $39.99.

We have early word that Big Trouble in Little China is headed to Blu-ray Disc from Fox/MGM on 4 August. The Kurt Russell fan favorite will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, and a set of bonuses that has yet to be determined. SRP is $29.99.

Another early update from HBO: The studio has plans to release The Sopranos: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray Disc this winter. No word yet on bonus goodies, but the set will arrive with 1080p transfers, for sure. Stay tuned... SRP is $79.98.
