Lionsgate is preparing a 6 October Blu-ray Disc release of Seventh Moon. This Amy Smart thriller will arrive with a 1080p transfer - audio specs and bonus features (if any) are still TBD. SRP is $29.99.
Warner has announced a 3 November Blu-ray Disc release of The Negotiator. This Samuel L. Jackson actioner will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, two featurettes, and the film's trailer. SRP is $29.98.
6 October will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of The Children from Lionsgate. This creepy-crawler horror flick will arrive with a 1080p transfer. Bonus features and final audio specs haven't yet been confirmed. We'll keep you updated. SRP is $29.99.
North by Northwest is headed to Blu-ray Disc from Warner on 3 November. This Alfred Hitchcock classic will arrive with a 1080p transfer, two new documentaries, two featurettes, a commentary track with the film's screenwriter, a music-only track, and both stills and trailer galleries. SRP is $34.99.
And in a bit of tech news, on Tuesday, Toshiba - the HD DVD figurehead for so many seasons - has finally announced that they will start production on Blu-ray Disc players in time to release them to the market by the end of calendar year 2009.
