Consider it nothing more than a basic hubbub at this point, but we have it on good authority that Universal is readying a 28 July Blu-ray Disc release of Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series. Again, this hasn't been upgraded to anything more than 'rumor' at this point, but we wanted to share this juicy tidbit anyway. Stay tuned...

Tai Seng will release the crime drama Shamo on Blu-ray Disc on 26 May. The film will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 7.1 sound mix, and a set of bonuses that have yet to be confirmed. SRP is $34.95.

Buena Vista has announced a 24 November Blu-ray Disc release of Santa Buddies. This straight-to-video sequel to this year's Space Buddies will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, as well as a slate of bonuses that won't be announced for a few months. Sony will release The Three Stooges Collection: 1949-1951 on 16 June. This 2-DVD set featuring some of Larry, Moe and Curly's best moments will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and mono sound mixes. No bonuses will be included. SRP is $24.96.

Lionsgate is readying a 30 June release of Kaidan. This thriller from the director of Ringu will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mix. No bonuses will be included. SRP is $26.98.
