Paramount is readying a 2 June Blu-ray Disc release of the Daniel Craig historical thriller/drama Defiance. Also starring Jamie Bell, the film will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, as well as a commentary with director Edward Zwick, four featurettes and the film's trailer (all are presented in HD. Full specs have been made available for Paramount's 5 May Blu-ray Disc release of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. This Oscar-winning David Fincher film will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a commentary with Fincher and a four-part documentary. There are rumblings that Paramount has teamed with The Criterion Collection for this edition, but Criterion has yet to confirm this (and seeing as the company has just this week announced its June slate, if this does come to pass, it will indeed be quite 'curious', but we have some DVD artwork that makes it seem like a possibility...). Fox will release Burn Notice: Season Two on Blu-ray Disc on 16 June. This sophomore season of the hit Jeffrey Donovan series will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes, and a set of bonuses that has yet to be formally announced. BBC/Warner will release Torchwood: The Complete Second Season on Blu-ray Disc on 7 July. This number two season will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mixes, as well as deleted scenes, a handful of featurettes, and a blooper reel. SRP is $99.98.
