Universal will release World’s Most Amazing Videos: Volume 1 on 11 November. This collection of three and a half hours’ worth of wild and wooly videos is narrated by actor Stacy Keach and will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo tracks. No bonus features will be included. Universal will release The Kingdom on Blu-ray Disc on 25 November. This actioner starring Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 Lossless Audio track, as well as all the bonuses included on the film’s HD DVD release from last year, including U-Control picture-in-picture capability, some deleted scenes, a History of the Kingdom interactive timeline, three featurettes, and a commentary track by director Peter Berg. Warner will release Bam Margera Presents: Where the $%^& is Santa? on Blu-ray Disc on 2 December. This feature-length exercise in hilarious inanity will arrive with a 1080p transfer, some deleted scenes, a stills gallery and a trailer (audio specs are TBD). We’ll keep you updated as cover art and final specs come our way. SRP is $28.99.



Meet Dave is coming to Blu-ray Disc from Fox on 25 November. This Eddie Murphy comedy will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track, a blooper reel, as well as a load of BD-exclusive material, including some deleted scenes and five featurettes. SRP is $39.99.

















We have final specs for Fox’s 7 October release of The Simpsons: The Complete Eleventh Season. This latest release of the eternally-popular animated series will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers, Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks, commentaries on every episode from various cast and crew members, a Matt Groening introduction, a set of featurettes, some deleted scenes, stills galleries, and a couple of secret, special goodies. SRP is $49.98.














Image Entertainment will release MythBusters: Big Blasts on DVD on 2 December. This 2-DVD set of the beloved Discovery Channel series will contain ten of the show’s most explosive (pun intended) episodes with 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers and stereo tracks. No bonuses will be included. SRP is $29.98.















Eagle Rock has announced plans to release on Blu-ray Disc Legends: Live at Montreux 1997 on 30 September. This rock-MVP session featuring such luminaries as Eric Clapton, Joe Sample and David Sanborn will come with a 1080p transfer, but unfortunately audio specs and bonus features are TBD. Stay tuned. New Line and Warner haven’t released any specs yet, but we do have basic info on the Austin Powers Collection Blu-ray Discs, slated for release on 2 December. Containing all three Austin Powers movies, the set should include commentaries, featurettes, deleted scenes, and more. We’re getting milked by Lucasfilm again. Fox has announced that 4 November will bring the DVD releases of Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy and Star Wars: The Trilogy. It looks as though they’re just repackagings of the DVDs that have already been released and re-released a handful of times, but maybe there will be an exclusive bonus feature or two to sucker us in. More importantly, there’s no word on the Blu-ray Disc releases of these films. SRP for each box is $49.98.



The super-indie hit The F Word is coming to Blu-ray Disc from Cinevolve on 21 October. This Jed Weintrob-directed pseudo-documentary will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but audio specs and bonus features (if any) have yet to be confirmed. We should hear more on this release soon. SRP is $22.95.
















Image Entertainment has announced final specs for Encounters at the End of the World, slated for release on 18 November. This Werner Herzog documentary will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Lossless Master 5.1 track, a commentary by Herzog and producers Henry Kaiser and Peter Zeitlinger, six featurettes, and an interview with the director. SRP is $34.95.















Genius Products will release 3: The Dale Earnhardt Story on Blu-ray Disc on 4 November. This ESPN-commissioned drama about the famed driver’s life and times will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but audio specs and the release’s bonus slate are still TBD. SRP is $34.95.
















We have more specs on Universal’s 21 October Blu-ray Disc release of The Incredible Hulk. This Ed Norton-led reboot of the Hulk’s feature film franchise will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Lossless 5.1 Master Audio track, a commentary track by director Louis Letterier and actor Tim Roth, five featurettes, some deleted scenes, and a slew of BD-exclusive material including a U-Control picture-in-picture commentary track, a comic book gallery, an animated comic, and a couple BD-Live options. SRP is $39.98.














Paramount will release Petticoat Junction: The Official First Season on DVD on 16 December. This goofy series will have 1.33:1 transfers and mono tracks; no word yet on bonus features or if there’ll be any at all. SRP is $39.98.

















25 November will bring the Criterion Blu-ray Disc release of Bottle Rocket. This acclaimed feature from Rushmore director Wes Anderson will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 track, a commentary by Anderson and star Owen Wilson, a making-of documentary, the original 13-minute Bottle Rocket film from 1992, some deleted scenes, a stills gallery, and two featurettes. SRP is $39.95.















18 November will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of The Third Man from Criterion. This acclaimed Carol Reed film starring Joseph Cotton will come with a 1.33:1 1080p transfer, an uncompressed mono track, an introduction to the film by director Peter Bogdanovich, two commentaries (one with Steven Soderbergh and writer Tony Gilroy; one with film historian Dana Polan), a documentary on the making of the film, three featurettes, some radio excerpts, a stills gallery, and some archival footage. SRP is $39.95.













Criterion will also release a Blu-ray Disc edition of The Last Emperor on 18 November. This Oscar-winning epic will arrive with a 2.20:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Master Audio stereo track, a commentary track by director Bernardo Bertolucci, producer Jeremy Thomas, writer Mark Peploe and composer Ryuchi Sakamoto, four documentaries, some interviews, a featurette, and the film’s trailer. 9 December will bring the release of Get Smart: The Complete Series from HBO. These complete adventures of the beloved series will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and mono tracks, as well as a slate of bonus features that are as yet TBD. SRP is $199.95.
















Criterion will release Fanfan La Tulipe on 18 November. This swashbuckling comedy starring Gerard Philipe will arrive with a 1.33:1 transfer, a French mono track, a featurette, a clip of the film’s colorized version, and the film’s trailer. SRP is $29.95.
















9 December will bring the HBO release of Deadwood: The Complete Series. This foul-mouthed – and critically-acclaimed – series will arrive with 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers, Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks, and bonuses that have yet to be determined. SRP is $179.97.

















We have early specs for the 4 November Blu-ray Disc release of Monster’s Ball from Lionsgate. This Oscar-winning film starring Halle Berry and Billy Bob Thornton will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a commentary track, three featurettes, a set of interviews, and some deleted scenes, but audio specs have yet to be confirmed. 4 November will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of Extreme from National Geographic. This IMAX-filmed look at some of the most insanely crazy extreme sporting in the world will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a Dolby Digital 5.1 track, but no bonus features will be included. HBO is readying a 16 December release of Generation Kill. This acclaimed miniseries about the Iraq war will arrive with 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers and stereo tracks. No word yet as to bonus features, if any. SRP is $59.98.

















Warner has announced plans to release Fred Claus on Blu-ray Disc on 25 November. This Vince Vaughn/Paul Giamatti family film will arrive with a commentary track by director David Dobkin, three featurettes, some deleted scenes, an interview with Vince and Paul and a music video. Expect a 1080p transfer, but audio specs are TBD. SRP is $38.95.















Koch will release The Story of O on Blu-ray Disc on 11 November. This controversial film from the 70s starring Corinne Cleary and Udo Kier will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, but aside from that information, nothing else has been confirmed. SRP is $34.98.
















Genius Products will release The Lone Ranger: 75th Anniversary Edition on 11 November. This 13-DVD set will hold 78 episodes of the show, as well as three bonus episodes from the 1960s cartoon series, a Lassie episode featuring the Lone Ranger, an excerpt from a Lone Ranger radio show, a commemorative book, an episode guide, and collectible packaging. SRP is $119.93.















We have final specs for Sony Music’s Blu-ray Disc release of AC/DC: No Bull – Director’s Cut, slated to hit shelves on 16 September. This notorious concert filmed in 1996 will arrive with a 1080p transfer and some bonus tracks (audio specs are TBD). SRP is $29.98.
















We have more details for Fox’s 16 December Blu-ray Disc release of In the Name of the King. This Jason Statham action/adventure will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Lossless Master Audio track, but the release’s bonus slate is still TBD. SRP is $34.95.

















We have received early word that Universal Music is planning a 21 October Blu-ray Disc release of ABBA: The Movie. This title has had a long history of being postponed – it took forever for the film to be released to DVD – but it looks like the film will get a 1080p release before Halloween. We’ll let you know when audio specs and the film’s full bonus slate are released. SRP is TBD.
















Warner is releasing a new edition of The Polar Express on Blu-ray Disc on 28 October. This Robert Zemeckis-helmed animated blockbuster will arrive in both 2-D and 3-D versions on this set (it will come with four sets of 3-D glasses). The release will also include nine featurettes, a deleted song (“Smokey and Steamer”), five motion-capture sessions, and the film’s theatrical trailer. Stand by for full specs. 2 December will bring the release of Law & Order: The 6th Year from Universal. This 5-DVD set will be presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen and will come with Dolby Digital 2.0 tracks. The sole bonus feature is the season’s Homicide: Life on the Street crossover episode For God and Country. SRP is $59.98.



25 November will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of Space Chimps from Fox. This relatively successful animated picture will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Master Audio Lossless 5.1 audio track, a featurette, a stills gallery, some TV spots, and a BD-exclusive trivia track. SRP is $39.99.

















Universal has announced that Jarhead is headed to Blu-ray Disc on 25 November. This Jake Gyllenhaal vehicle directed by Sam Mendes will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio Lossless audio track, as well as two commentaries (one by Mendes and the other by screenwriter William Broyles, Jr. and author Anthony Swofford). SRP is $29.98.















We have early word that Sony will release Resident Evil: Degeneration sometime in late December or early January. This all-CGI installment of the popular horror/action franchise will arrive with a 1.78:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track, a trivia track, two featurettes, a set of character profiles, some bloopers, trailers, and a BD-exclusive picture-in-picture interactive commentary track. No firm release date or SRP have been announced.
