We have early word that Buena Vista is planning a 3 February DVD release of Oliver & Company: 20th Anniversary Edition. This hit animated comedy featuring music by Billy Joel will arrive with a new anamorphic transfer and an upgraded audio track, but full bonus features have yet to be confirmed.  SRP is $29.99.


















The Bruce Campbell film My Name is Bruce is headed to Blu-ray Disc from Image Entertainment on 10 February. This cult romance/comedy will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track. No bonuses have yet been announced. SRP is $34.95.



















6 January will bring the Blu- ray release of Babylon A.D. from Fox. This Vin Diesel actioner will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track, four featurettes, a stills gallery, and a BD-exclusive Bonus View feature (picture-in-picture). SRP is $39.99.



















We have word of a 23 December release of Pulse 3 from Genius Products and Dimension Films. This second sequel to the hit horror flick stars Rider Strong and will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track. No bonuses will be included. Final specs have been made available for Blue Underground’s 24 February Blu-ray Disc release of The Bird With the Crystal Plumage. This Dario Argento horror flick will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, both DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio tracks, a commentary by scholars Alan Jones and Kim Newman, four featurettes, two trailers, and some TV spots. SRP is $34.95.


















The horror film Hit and Run is headed to DVD from MGM on 13 January. Starring Laura Breckenridge, this shrieking fright fest will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track. No bonuses will be included. SRP is $26.98.



















Fox has announced that it will release a Blu-ray Disc edition of The Passion of the Christ on 17 February. This controversial Mel Gibson film will arrive with a 2.40:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track, three commentaries (one with Gibson, cinematographer Caleb Deschanel, and John Wright; another by producers Stephen McEveety, Ted Rae, and Keith Vanderlaan; and a theological commentary by Gibson, Father William J. Fulco, Gerry Matatics, and Father John Bartunek), a select-scene music commentary by Jon Debney, two featurettes, some deleted scenes, and a few stills galleries. SRP is $34.99.















We have more specs for the 6 January release of Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia from Fox. This straight-to-video sequel to the Owen Wilson action flick will arrive with a 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track, a commentary by Tim Matheson, Joe Manganiello, and wrestler Mr. Kennedy, another commentary by IGN associates Eric Moro, Chris Moffett, and Chris Carl, and six featurettes. Warner will release ER: The Complete Tenth Season on 3 March. This latest release of the hit television drama will arrive with 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers, Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks, a handful of deleted scenes, and a blooper reel. SRP is $49.98.



















Paramount has announced plans to release the original Friday the 13th on Blu-ray Disc on 13 February. This slasher flick that spawned a sea of follow-ups will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio track, a commentary by director Sean Cunningham, four featurettes, and the film’s trailer. SRP is $39.99.



















Paramount will release Without a Paddle: Nature’s Calling on Blu-ray Disc on 13 January. This straight-to-video sequel to the Seth Green comedy will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio track, two featurettes (one of which is BD-exclusive), some deleted scenes, and a gag reel. SRP is still TBD. 



















Genius Products and The Weinstein Company will release Eden Lake on Blu-ray Disc on 6 January. This actioner will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio track, a commentary by director James Watkins, and a making-of featurette. SRP is $29.95.



















The comedy Balls Out: Gary the Tennis Coach is headed to DVD from Sony on 13 January. Starring Seann William Scott and Randy Quaid, the film will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track, a making-of featurette, a blooper reel, and a set of deleted scenes. Lionsgate is preparing a 27 January Blu-ray Disc release of Hulk Vs. This collection of two animated Hulk films – Hulk vs. Wolverine and Hulk vs. Thor – will arrive with 1080p transfers and DTS-HD 5.1 audio tracks, and a slate of bonuses that have yet to be confirmed. SRP is $29.99.



















Image Entertainment has announced plans to release Black Out on 13 January. This thriller starring Joan of Arcadia’s Amber Tamblyn will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track. No bonus features will be included. SRP is $27.98.



















Fox will release Vanishing Point on Blu-ray Disc on 24 February. This classic car-chase flick will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track. Final bonus specs will be announced soon. SRP is $34.99.




















We have early word of a 17 March release of Ghost Hunters: Season Four Part Two from Image Entertainment. This hit cable series (that now features the talents of the wonderful Amy Bruni) will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo audio tracks. No bonuses have yet been confirmed. SRP is $24.98.




24 March will bring the Acorn Media release of Midsomer Murders: Set 12. This latest release of the wonderfully involving British mystery series will arrive with 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers and stereo audio tracks,  a making-of featurette, some text interviews, production notes, biographies, and cast filmographies. SRP is $49.99.




30 December will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of Serenity from Universal. This sci-fi epic will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track, a few U-Control features, two commentaries (one by director Joss Whedon; the other by Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Summer Glau, and Ron Glass), a set of deleted scenes (with optional director’s commentary), and eight featurettes. Sony will release Lakeview Terrace on Blu-ray Disc on 13 January. This thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson will arrive with a 2.40:1 1080p transfer and a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio track. The disc’s bonus slate has yet to be announced. SRP is $39.95.



















Anchor Bay is preparing a 2 December release of Wisegal. This drama starring Alyssa Milano and James Caan will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track. No bonuses will be included. SRP is $19.97.



















Warner has announced plans to release Towelhead on 30 December. This Alan Ball drama starring Aaron Eckhart and Toni Collette will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track, and a featurette. SRP is $27.95.



















Acorn Media will release The Red Green Show: 2001 Season on 10 March. This new release of the hit Canadian comedy show will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo audio tracks, some character bios, and production notes. SRP is $39.99.




Lionsgate will release The Benny Hill Show: The Best of the Early Years on 13 January. This 87-minute DVD featuring some of the comedian’s most hilarious early moments will arrive with a 1.33:1 transfers and mono audio tracks. No bonuses will be included. SRP is $14.96.



















MGM will release Raging Bull on Blu-ray Disc on 10 February. This Oscar-winning Martin Scorsese film will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track, three commentary track by various cast and crew members, and six featurettes. SRP is $34.95.



















Timeless Media will release Red Skelton: The Ultimate Collection on 25 November. This 8-DVD set of the classic comedian’s greatest moments will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and mono audio tracks, some Skelton movie trailers, and a few bonus skits. SRP is $89.98.



















3 February will bring the Blu-ray Disc debut of Napoleon Dynamite from Fox. This now-legendary bizarro comedy will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track, and a slate of bonus features that have yet to be confirmed. SRP is $34.95.



















Sony is readying a 13 January release of ‘Til Death: The Complete Second Season. This hit Brad Garrett sitcom’s sophomore season will arrive with 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers, Dolby Digital 5.1 audio tracks, a featurette, and a blooper reel. SRP is $39.95.




















We have early word that Lionsgate is readying a 10 March release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Seventh Season. This edition – timed to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary – will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo audio tracks. No bonus features have been announced and SRP also is TBD.




Fox will release Sideways on Blu-ray Disc on 3 February. This Oscar-winning dramedy starring Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 audio track. Bonus features are still TBD. SRP is $29.99.



















3 February will bring the release of Dave’s World: The Second Season from Paramount. This sophomore release of the hit Harry Anderson sitcom will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo audio tracks. No bonuses will be included. SRP is $44.99.

6 January will bring the Sony release of The Films of Michael Powell. This collection of two films from the legendary director – Age of Consent and A Matter of Life and Death (Stairway to Heaven) – will arrive with a nice selection of bonus features. Age of Consent contains a commentary by historian Ian Christie and three featurettes. A Matter of Life and Death has a commentary by historian Kent Jones. Both pictures come with an introduction from Martin Scorsese. SRP is $24.96.




We have final specs for the 3 February release of Night Court: The Complete Second Season. This sophomore release of the Emmy-winning comedy starring Harry Anderson and Markie Post will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo audio tracks. No bonuses will be included.
