New Line will release Blow on Blu-ay on 23 September. This drug drama starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 track, as well as an interactive Focus Points picture-in-picture option, a commentary track by director Ted Demme and George Jung, some deleted scenes, outtakes, four featurettes, some trailers, a trivia track and a music video for “Push and Pull” by Nikka Costa. The Steven Seagal sequel Under Siege 2: Dark Territory is coming to Blu-ray from Warner on 2 September. Also starring a then-up-and-coming Katherine Heigl, this shoot-em-up will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but we have no confirmation yet as to audio specs or a bonus slate. SRP is $28.99.
















First Look Entertainment will release UFC: Ultimate Comebacks on Blu-ray on 18 November. We don’t have any specs for this fight-o-rama release yet, but we’ll let you know when we learn more. SRP is $24.98.



The Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle Eraser is coming to Blu-ray from Warner on 2 September. This surprisingly solid thriller also starring Vanessa Williams will come with a 1080p transfer, but no word has yet been given on this release’s audio specs or bonus features. SRP is $28.99.
















Jennifer Love Hewitt fans – prepare to shed some tears. Sony still plans to release a Blu-ray edition of I Know What You Did Last Summer on 22 July, but the studio announced last week that the planned high-def release of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (the film’s sequel) has been indefinitely postponed. No reason was given for the schedule switch. We’ll let you know when the title gets back on the release schedule.















Warner will release Outbreak on Blu-ray on 2 September. This Dustin Hoffman virus-threat thriller will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, but we don’t have confirmation on audio specs or bonus features yet. SRP is $28.99.

















We have final specs for the 12 August Lionsgate release of Belly on Blu-ray. This Method Man/DMX drama will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 track, a commentary track by director Hype Williams, a featurette, a deleted scene and a “Grand Finale” music video. SRP is $29.98.
















Warner will release The Gauntlet on Blu-ray on 2 September. This underrated Clint Eastwood actioner will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but it does not look like we’ll get any bonus features. Audio specs are TBD. SRP is $28.99.

















Full specs for the 12 August Blu-ray release of The Doors have been released. This Val Kilmer-as-Jim Morrison Oliver Stone film will come with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio track, a Stone commentary, two featurettes, and some deleted scenes. SRP is $29.98.

















Warner has announced plans to release Every Which Way But Loose on Blu-ray on 2 September. This fan-adored (yet critically lambasted) Clint Eastwood picture – you know, the one where his co-star is an orangutan – will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but at this point, it looks like no bonus features will be included. Audio specs are TBD. SRP is $28.99.

















We have final specs for the 23 September Paramount release of Friday the 13th: The Series - The First Season. This 6-DVD collection will come with 1.33:1 transfers and stereo tracks, and (alas) no bonus features. SRP is $54.99.


















Nothing is set in stone quite yet, but we have it on good authority that Paramount is readying a 30 September Blu-ray release of the summer blockbuster Iron Man. No specs are available, but we will definitely let you know when we get more details about this release. SRP is TBD.
















Warner will release Speed Racer on Blu-ray on 16 September. This tentpole summer film didn’t exactly set the world on fire, but the studio is hoping the film will find a bigger audience on DVD and Blu-ray. We know the film will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but we have no word yet about audio specs or bonus features. SRP is $35.99.















After a long break, we have word that Fox will release The Simpsons: The Complete Eleventh Season on 7 October. This 4-DVD set will come with 1.33:1 transfers, Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks, and – in typical Simpsons-on-DVD style – a boatload of commentaries, featurettes, and other goodies. SRP is $49.98.



Universal will release John Carpenter’s The Thing on Blu-ray on 30 September. This Kurt Russell cult classic will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 track, as well as a commentary track by Carpenter and Russell and a slate of other bonus features that have yet to be determined. SRP is $34.95.
















We have full specs and early box art for the 9 September Universal Blu-ray release of Baby Mama. This hit comedy starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 track, some deleted scenes, two featurettes, and two BD-exclusive U-Control features. SRP is $39.98.















It’s still early, but we have word that Fox will release Family Guy: Volume 6 on 21 October. We know that it will carry a retail price of $39.99, and that there are 374 minutes of Family Guy goodness on it, but confirmed specs are TBD.



Land of the Dead is coming to Blu-ray on 30 September from Universal. This George A. Romero horror flick starring Dennis Hopper and Asia Argento will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 track, a commentary by Romero, producer Peter Grunwald and editor Michael Doherty, five featurettes, a deleted scene, and U-Control picture-in-picture capacity. SRP is $34.95.















Image Entertainment will release The Living Sea: IMAX on Blu-ray on 14 October. This amazing documentary filmed in Palau, Hawaii and around the world will arrive with a 1.78:1 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track (extra features are TBD). SRP is $24.98.

















Final specs have been made available for the 23 September Blu-ray release of Deception from Fox. This Michelle Williams/Hugh Jackman thriller will come with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 track, a commentary by director Marcei Langenegger, two featurettes, and a set of deleted scenes. SRP is $39.98.

















Warner will release The Smurfs: Season 1, Volume 2 on DVD on 7 October. This second installment of the hit animated show will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers and mono tracks, as well as a lone featurette. SRP is $26.99.

















We have final specs for the 16 September Sony Blu-ray release of Made of Honor. This hit romantic comedy starring Patrick Dempsey will come with a 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track, a commentary track by director Paul Weiland, BD-exclusive featurettes, and deleted scenes. The 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead is coming to Blu-ray from Universal on 30 September. Starring Canadian talent Sarah Polley and Ving Rhames, the film will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 track, a commentary by director Zak Snyder and producer Eric Newman, U-Control picture-in-picture capability, as well as some other bonus goodies that have yet to be confirmed. Final specs have been announced for Universal’s 30 September Blu-ray release of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. This Jason Segal comedy will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio track, a U-Control commentary by various cast and crew members, some deleted scenes, a gag reel, a karaoke feature, a slew of featurettes, a music video for “We’ve Got to Do Something,” and the film’s notorious redband trailer. The horror flick Mother of Tears is coming to DVD from Genius Products and Dimension Films on 23 September. Starring the sexy Asia Argento (and directed by her dad, Dario), the film will arrive with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 track, and two featurettes. SRP is $19.97.

















Image Entertainment will release Coral Reef Adventure: IMAX on Blu-ray on 14 October. This unique underwater documentary narrated by Jean-Michel Cousteau will come with a 1.78:1 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track (bonuses have yet to be confirmed). SRP is $24.98.

















The legendary art-house hit Baraka is coming to Blu-ray from MPI on 28 October. This debut high-def title from the studio will arrive with a 2.20:1 1080p transfer, but that’s all the info we have at this point. Even the SRP is TBD.

















Warner will release Run, Fat Boy, Run on Blu-ray on 23 September. This Simon Pegg comedy directed by David Schwimmer will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a commentary track by various cast and crew members, some deleted scenes, and a making-of featurette; audio specs are TBD. First Look Studios will release Sukiyaki Western: Django on Blu-ray on 11 November. This acclaimed Japanese adventure from director Takashi Miike will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, but audio specs and bonus features have yet to be confirmed. Genius Products and Dimension Films will release Pulse 2: Afterlife on 30 September. This horror sequel starring Jamie Bamber will come with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, a Dolby Digital 5.1 track, and a set of bonus features that are TBD. SRP is $19.97.

We have final specs for the 19 August Blu-ray release of Nixon: Election Year Edition from Buena Vista. This director’s-cut of the 1995 Oliver Stone presidential biopic starring Anthony Hopkins will arrive with a 1080p transfer, an uncompressed PCM 5.1 track, a newly-made full-length documentary, two commentaries by Stone, some deleted scenes (with a director’s introduction), a featurette, and the film’s trailer. Universal will release National Lampoon’s Animal House: 30th Anniversary Edition on 28 October.
